Project Management System For custom design projects, the client and the client’s customer work together to generate a design specification. This process is managed using internal tracking software. While the software successfully tracked various projects, it was not accessible outside of the corporate location and could only accept limited input from the customer. Information from the outside company had to be manually added by people within the client corporation. Keeping track of projects was cumbersome for sales force personnel while at customer locations, and did not provide an overview of projects to all stakeholders. The Compass Solution The application ran on a legacy platform that was no longer supported. Additionally, new employees or team members had limited access to the necessary software, making it difficult for everyone to participate and collaborate. We created a cloud-based and mobile-focused replacement for this application. The entire specification process can be completed on mobile, by all stakeholders, including technical and sales teams regardless of where they’re located. The Compass application also provides an overview of active projects and maintains the history of prior projects and their outcomes. Compass achieves this by using existing data migrated from the legacy system. Upper management can now access all projects at any time to ensure consistency with corporate direction.
